Mary Anderson, President, WBE Canada

In her role as president of WBE Canada, Mary Anderson brings with her a wealth of experience. During her career, Mary has worked in corporations, non-profit organizations, academia, and has also been an entrepreneur. She was the first woman president to be appointed in the 75-year history of the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters (I.E. Canada), a position she held from 2005 to 2009. She was also President of the Brazil Canada Chamber of Commerce and served as the chair of the board of the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) from 2008 – 2010 where she encouraged young women to enter the field of international business. In 2003 and 2004, she was Co-President of the Toronto Chapter of the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT-Toronto).

Mary serves on many boards and advisory committees, including: the Supplier Diversity Advisory Council to the organizing committee for the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games and the Supplier Advisory Committee with Public Works and Government Services Canada. She was recognized as one of the top 18 Influential Women in Diversity and HR in 2013.

Joining WBE Canada in April 2015, Stephanie Fontaine is responsible for corporate engagement and member on-boarding.  As the point of contact for corporations, Stephanie  leverages the WBE Canada technology, tools and processes to provide a personalized member experience built around procurement program objectives. Stephanie is pleased to support our corporate members on their supplier diversity journey and she welcomes connecting with corporations who are interested in exploring the business value and opportunities in this space.    

Stephanie brings a wealth of business and non-profit experience to the team. During her career, she has held roles in operations, project management and procurement. Prior to joining WBE Canada, Stephanie worked at Sodexo as a Supply Manager where her responsibilities included administering the Canadian supplier diversity program.  

Stephanie holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Guelph, works with several community organizations and is committed to empowering entrepreneurs through sharing of knowledge and connections.
